How did you find yourself working in property and specifically in your field?

I have worked in various areas of the property industry over the years, in the private sector. I keep coming back to it, so I must belong here. Administration is the backbone of every company. Highly organised and well structured systems are the best foundation for a company’s success and I enjoy being a part of that.

Did you grow up in Melbourne? Tell us a little about where you are from and where you live now…

I’m from the bayside suburb of Mentone originally, but I currently reside in Port Melbourne. I’ve mostly lived near the bay as I love being close to the water.

What are your top three favourite cafes/restaurants/bars?

After moving recently I’m still learning my local favorites, but Miss Chu South Melbourne does the best pho and dumplings in the area. I love seafood, so Claypots in St Kilda will always remain a favourite, and also Riva in St Kilda for its cosy fireplace and great location by the water.

What’s one thing you could not live without?

A sense of humour.

What is your star sign?

Leo.

Describe your ultimate holiday?

Somewhere I haven’t been yet.

What is your favourite movie scene or quote from a film?

I have too many favorites, but I’ll pick one - Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider after she defends herself against the ‘badies’ and her home is destroyed, then a postman asks her what happened and she says, “I just woke up and hated everything”. It was a very funny moment!

What was the first concert you ever went to?

Bryan Adams with my sister.

Which sporting teams do you barrack for?

None… but actually the Saints.

Do you have any hobbies or talents?

My hobbies include singing, philosophy and being out in nature.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The people – we are a lovely group of professionals. I also love learning more about the various locations we operate in and networking with people in the industry.

Can you tell us about any accomplishments or career highlights you are proud of?

Whenever my team or company is doing well I have succeeded.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have received?

Happiness is a choice, everything else is a matter of perspective.
